Privacy Policy

The data controller is Maria Arlete Ribeiro Andrade, taxpayer no. 168770415, who runs the Casas da Boa-Vista local accommodation lodgings (Monte da Pedra, Crato, and Amieira do Tejo, Nisa).

Bookings: name, email, phone (optional), stay dates, number of guests and any notes you choose to leave.

Contact form: name, email, phone (optional) and the message sent.

Payments: card payments are processed by an external payments platform. We neither collect nor store card details; we receive only the confirmation of payment.

Stay: where the law requires it, we collect the identification data needed to report the accommodation to the competent authorities (accommodation records for foreign citizens).

The data is processed to manage the booking and the stay (performance of the contract), to respond to contact requests (pre-contractual steps or legitimate interest), and to comply with legal obligations (in particular tax and guest-registration duties). We do not use your data for marketing, nor do we pass it to third parties for commercial purposes.

The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools. Visit statistics are collected by our own system, without cookies, which aggregates the data so as not to identify the visitor: the IP address is not stored in the clear in the statistics, being used only to generate an irreversible daily identifier.

Booking data is kept for the periods required by law (in particular for tax purposes). Contact messages are kept only for as long as needed to follow up the request. Once those periods have passed, the data is deleted.

Only with the providers strictly needed to run the service: the payments platform (to process payment) and the technical hosting provider for the website, and with public authorities where the law requires it. These providers process the data on our behalf and according to our instructions.

You may request, at any time, access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of your data, as well as object to the processing, through the email reservas@casasdaboavista.pt. We reply within the legal period.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (www.cnpd.pt).

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and the data is stored on systems with restricted access. We apply the appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data against unauthorised access, alteration or loss.
